Welcome!

Hi! My name is Kizzie and I am so glad you’re here. As a former foster sibling and now as an occupational therapist, I have a strong passion for this population and a desire to better serve these children and ultimately honor Christ through this project.

Developing, Fostering, and Nurturing Success is a result of my doctoral capstone project for occupational therapy school. The aim of my project was to prevent children in the foster care system from falling through the cracks of receiving therapy services. Originally focusing on creating a screening tool, I found that there were many additional areas of need for this population, due to lack of awareness or access to resources. My hope is that this website will serve as a useful tool to provide education, resources, community, and support for those involved.
