Cognitive: Points at wanted items

Communication: Tries copying sounds, imitates gestures, responds to simple phrases (“bye-bye”, “look at mommy”), says one or two words (mama, dada, hi, bye)

Feeding: Holds bottle or sippy cup with both hands, holds spoon/fork, finger feeds self, takes bites from larger food, chews on both sides of mouth, closes lips during swallow

  • Milk/formula, small amounts of water, soft bite sized food (banana, cheese cubes, pasta)

Fine motor: Fingertip/pincer grip, voluntary release/throw objects, put objects in container

Gross motor: Stand independently, walk independently

Social/Emotional: Reacts to facial expressions, points, waves, show/give objects

Visual: Interested in picture books, looks for objects when hidden
